Questions --still
without Answers
- Mayor Chiarelli: What
is the status of this file?
- Mayor Chiarelli should
have informed Councillors and the ratepayers as to the status of
this litigation before re-hiring
RV Anderson,
(one of the named defendants, in the above case), to do the
Munster review. Why has the Mayor kept Councillors uninformed on
this issue ...while expecting them to decide (in an information
vacuum) on the Munster issue?
- Mr. Chiarelli talked
of possible staff negligence, (above). Knowing the capability
(if not certainty), of the City "messing up" when it comes to
pipeline projects,
why are Mayor Chiarelli and Councillor Stavinga so eager to risk
the health of more than 5000 residents who draw from shallow wells
in Richmond and along the proposed pipeline route ---when the completely
safe alternative is a mechanical treatment plant, costing far
less?
- The Council should
not
have decided on the forcemain
option, without answers to these, and many other vital
questions. In this matter ...affecting not only the safety
---but the very lives--- of downstream residents, does it not
now
appear essential to quickly obtain the truth in this case, and
have a NEW (and informed) Council vote?
(There are those that feel
that there are certain elements of this case that are requiring
of police investigation. Perhaps such investigation would be a
healthy ---if not a life-saving--- step.)
