Subject:  HAS COUNCIL BEEN MISLED REGARDING MUNSTER SEWERPIPE?

The question regarding the statement of the Munster wastewater/force main concern expressed in the 680 name petition to council continues to be ignored by your colleague Janet Stavinga. If she cannot explain why the petition statement is "untrue", perhaps there is no explanation. Perhaps you have been mislead in order to secure your vote in favor of the staff position.

You should be asking questions, along with the residents of Richmond, because if you don't you may share accountability with her and the municipal engineers for a potential health, environmental and fiscal disaster in the making.

Janet Stavinga and the municipal engineers tacitly acknowledge the risk by the very fact that they speak of mitigation measures in the same breath that they deny it.

p.s. Find attached a transcript of the "skit" that convinced you to dismiss the petition and vote in favor of the Munster force main.  One wonders if, on reading this document, you will still be convinced. (www.ottawasewergatefiasco.com/s-rpt/c-transcr-030611.htm)

Letter of July 27th to Janet Stavinga (still no reply to Richmond Village Association)
