The most prominent sound feature of an operating RBC-mechanical treatment plant would be the sound coming from the existing pumping station. The next "loudest" sound is that of the 3, 5-HP motors driving the RBC,s in an enclosed building, about 1500 feet away from the homes.

Anyone wanting to see (and try to hear) a working plant, could probably visit the three RBCs at Vankleek Hill. The operator, there, is very proud of the Plant. (However one would have to make an appointment, though the municipal office, since the treatment plant requires very little attention, and personnel are rarely on site.)
