Is it any surprise York Region's sewer construction has gone awry? A full environmental assessment would have been prudent before breaking ground on a project that many rural residents were opposed to from the get-go. Let's face it, it wouldn't take Kreskin to figure out the environmental impact. As always, politicians have caved in to the demands of the wealthy, greedy developers who stand to benefit from this ill-planned environmental disaster — and all at the expense of less influential constituents, as usual.
